The Assembly Call was founded in 2011 by IU graduates Jerod Morris, Andy Bottoms, and Ryan Phillips.
Since 2011, we have hosted a live postgame show for almost every IU basketball game. We also host a weekly radio show in Indiana (which we broadcast live on our website on Thursdays nights), as well as short, daily news updates called Banner Morning.
Our show began as a simple way to bring IU fans together online after IU basketball games. It has evolved into a global community of IU fans who enjoy engaging in respectful, supportive, and knowledgeable discussion about their Hoosiers.
Hosting a private social network like this one for our most dedicated supporters was the next logical step in our show's evolution. If you value respectful and knowledgeable discussion about Indiana basketball (and other sports as well), we hope you'll join us inside.
Why does membership in the community cost money? Two reasons:
That said, we don't want the paywall to be a deterrent from potentially valuable community members joining. So if you really want to join, but you simply can't afford the price, email firstname.lastname@example.org and explain your situation.
Our show and this community would not be possible without the support and financial backing of our audience. That's why Assembly Call donors receive free access to this community. (If you're a current donor, email email@example.com for a link to join for free).
The revenue we generate from the community assists us in paying the recurring fees for hosting the community, as well as other costs associated with our show. Thank you! We couldn't do it without you.
